Seminary Graduation!

>> Monday, May 21, 2018

Walker graduated from Seminary last night!!

LOVE that smile!!!

It takes a lot of work and is a commitment to strive to complete all of the requirements for  Seminary graduation all while staying on top of his regular school studies. He takes Seminary during his lunch hour to fit in all of his requirements for High School graduation too. It has helped his testimony grow in ways it couldn't in any other way! It's an hour each day that he can "get away" from the world and High School life and "soak in" the the Spirit. He's learned so much about the Gospel and he's taught all of us so much too! Walker is a natural teacher. <3

We are so proud of him!

The last 4 years have been filled with challenges for him. Some have been really, really difficult. I know it's because of his faith and staying close to the Lord daily that he's been able to get through them.

Walker oozes humility, love, compassion, and forgiveness. He's one of the most Christ-like people I've ever known. He has blessed our lives in deep impactful ways that I will forever be grateful for. I'm humbled that I've been granted the privilege to be his Mom.

I know he's going to go forward and do wonderful things! But most importantly, while he does those things, he is going to bless everyone he meets! He's a Light to everyone he rubs shoulders with!!!

What a special young man you have turned into!!! Love you Walker!!!! <3

Walker's Senior Pictures!

>> Monday, May 14, 2018

I'm a little late getting these done but better late than never right?!? 😉 This year has FLOWN BY, and maybe I'm in a little bit of denial, but Walker is graduating next week!! 😳 I took him out yesterday (yes on Mother's Day, a Mother's work never ends :P ) to take his Senior pictures!🎓 ~Class of 2018~

I mean...he's SO handsome!

I love this one! <3 <3 Haha!

Walker cracks me up...he wanted me to take a picture with his buddy in this picture. LOL!!! Virtual twins! :P

I can't believe this is really happening!!! Gulp!

Happy Mother's Day!

>> Sunday, May 13, 2018

Mother's Day started out with our adorable Primary children singing to us. Alayna is of course the most adorable one. :P She's so tall! This is her last year in Primary! :)

I wanted to remember how grown up my kids are getting and so after some arm twisting, cajoling, and some heavy coercion they finally agreed.

After church was when the real fun began! My sweet girl showered me with gifts she made! <3

Jared made us some amazing carne asada tacos! The kids all pitched in and chopped the onions, tomatoes, cilantro. Eli made some rockin' beans...didn't get a pic of those. And they all helped me doctor up the guacamole.

Jared made a delicious pineapple upside-down cake!

Eli helped me make chocolate covered strawberries covered in toasted coconut!!! YUM!

I LOVE cooking with Eli. It's one of my favorite activities to do with him! <3

Jared said my gift is coming next weekend. For the past couple of years I've requested that for Mother's Day I'd love to have all the blinds in the house taken down and scrubbed down. It's such a huge chore! It makes me happy having that done! :)

It was a really nice day with my family! I love my 3 amazing kids who have blessed me the greatest title I will ever hold, Mom. 💜 They are my heart and soul. They make me laugh, they make me cry, they make me proud, they make me crazy, they make me grow. I'm grateful for this wild ride called Motherhood!!

End of the Year Band Concert

>> Friday, May 11, 2018

Eli had his final band concert of the year. All of the bands played the soundtracks to different movies. The timing had to be perfect to get it to line up just right with the video playing overhead. They did a GREAT job!

Eli's band has come a LONG ways since the beginning of the year!! We were so impressed!

Before the concert band began. The band boosters presented Mr. Kozacek with a custom made conductor stand. He had seen one he loved when he took some of the other band groups to Carnegie Hall this year. So they made him the same one! He was very moved and touched! It was such a nice thing for them to do for him.

Eli is on the right side just behind Mr. Kozacek's right shoulder. :)

Eli's group played music from Fantastic Beasts, How to Train Your Dragon & Hunger Games. It was a fun concert!

Nice job Eli!!!

Golden Scholars....Walker's LAST ONE!

>> Tuesday, May 8, 2018

This school year is wrapping up! Band concerts, orchestra concerts, award ceremonies and an upcoming graduation are in full swing!!

Today my heart is full!! ❤️❤️ Walker just received his last Golden Scholar Award! He's rocked it out 9 consecutive years!! 🎉🎉

All the Seniors who qualified.

Walker is on the top-ish , right-ish side...about 3 rows down from the top 5th kid in. :P

Jared and I gave each other a fist bump as he walked across! LOL! We are so proud of him!

This was him in 4th grade at his very first ceremony......

...and here he is today!!!!

This picture was taken in 5th grade. These two have been friends since Nursery! It's been fun to see Walker and his best buddy Chase make these great accomplishments together!

 We love this guy!

These are all the kids from Catalina Ward from the Jr. and Sr. Classes that made it this year. :) Chase, Nelson, Megan, Walker, Hunter & Jeffery.

As we sat there waiting for Walker to receive his award a flood of emotions just overwhelmed me. I was fighting hard to choke back tears. It really hit me that in just 2 weeks he's going to be graduating. He's moving on to exciting and wonderful things. I'm really happy for him and I can't wait to see what the future holds for him but at the same time he's been mine for all these years. Learning to let go isn't always easy. All the prayers, teaching, talking, guiding, helping, more prayers, advice and rearing have gotten him to this point. I hope beyond hope that it's been enough. That he's ready to face that great big world out there! I know he will come to us when he needs us...but it's just different. Graduation night I may need a lot of Kleenex and a lot of hugs! LOL!

Eli's no slouch either! 😉 This year marks 6 consecutive years in Golden Scholars for him! Hes' on the 3rd row from the bottom, 3rd one from the right.

That handsome smile melts my heart every time!

High School has been an adjustment for Eli. He had to work a little harder but he proved once again he can do hard things!

These boys are THE BEST of friends!! They love and respect each other and laugh non-stop together. They like to gang up on me and tease me and I wouldn't have it any other way! They work hard and make me so incredibly proud to be their mom!! ❤️❤️ Congratulations boys!! 🎉🎉

Love this kid! <3

My Momma heart is over flowing!!! Couldn't be more proud of these 2 boys!!!! <3
