Eli's Wolf!

>> Wednesday, April 25, 2012

Eli earned his Wolf in Cub Scouts!! We are so proud of him!

It is tradition in our Pack when you earn your Wolf that you have to wolf down a giant bowl of whipped cream until you find your patch one the bottom!!! :D They boys love it!

Once they find their patch and get cleaned up then they present their Mom's with a necklace pin as a way of saying Thank You. Mom's work hard to help their boys through scouting. :)

And it's required to give a hug too! :D

Way to go Eli!!!!!!
(Yes that's my daughter and her friend roaming in front of the camera! sigh!)

Happy Birthday Mamaw!

>> Tuesday, April 24, 2012

Mamaw and Pampa drove out from Texas to come spend the week with our kids while Jared and I celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary in Hawaii!! :)

We wanted to make sure Mamaw felt loved so we had the family come over to celebrate her 69th Bday since it was the same week! Isn't that selfless of her to watch our kids on her birthday! :) She's amazing!!

It was so nice having the family all together. It seems like we never do it enough. We've also had a new addition to the family. Jake and his girlfriend Kali had a baby girl in February!

Her name is Kaimilla Rose Crownover-Kitch. I have to admit I LOVE her middle name. :P It's been a long time since I've held a little one. I couldn't keep my hands off of her. :P

Happy Birthday Mamaw!!

Our New Arrival!!!

The Kitch Family has a new addition!

Walker's Social Studies Class has adopted babies. They drew if they got a boy, girl, or even twins!!!!

Our little angels name is Salayna ( for Sugar Alayna)! :P  She's perfectly sweet especially since she is made of 5lbs. of sugar! :P She never cries and sleeps through the night. We love her!

Walker is a proud father. He takes very good care of her and takes her everywhere he goes. He always gets a babysitter if he needs to leave her and makes sure she's safe and sound.

After a week I think he was ready to get back to his carefree ways. I think this was a good experience for him! Anyway...I'm WAY too young to be a Grandma!!! LOL!!! :D

Happy Birthday Eli!

How can this be?? How can my babies keep getting older??

I guess it has to happen. And it did...Eli turned 9!!!!!! You heard me...N-I-N-E!

We had a small party at the house with a few of his close friends. He requested the kid's traditional Oreo Cookie Ice Cream Cake! :) It's sooo tasty!

Don't worry..we had pizza before we ate dessert. I just didn't get a pic of it. :P

The boys played games, ran around like boys do, and wore us out! :P

Eli had a great time and that's what it's all about! He also got enough birthday money to come up with 1/2 of what a tablet costs. Which he's been wanting for about a year now. We told him if he could come up with 1/2 we'd come up with the other half. He bought a Galaxy Tab2 7.0. It was a pretty great Bday! :D

Happy Birthday Sweet Boy!

Math Bee

>> Thursday, April 12, 2012

Walker joined the Math Bee Club at school this year. The first week it was open to all 3,4,5 & 6th grade students. During that week they practiced and reviewed all sorts of math concepts. The following week they began competitions that eliminated students.

Wednesday the day before the last competition they were down to 16 students. Those 16 were invited back today for the final round. We are so excited that Walker made it to the last day!!

They had everyone meet in the library after school and each person had their own privacy cubical and number. They had 2 min. to complete each question, but if they finished early they could hang up their numbers over the front of their desk. Since there were students from 3-6th grade, each grade level was given problems at their grade level, but the problems were similar in concept.

I was so nervous for Walker. I think I was more nervous than he was!!! I was biting my nails to nubs every time they put up their answers. At one point They held up their answer boards and Walker was the only one with his answer and I thought for sure he was eliminated....He was the only one with the correct answer!!! :) He was the last 6th grader standing! :D

(Waiting for the competition to begin! :) )

Walker made it all the way to the end and placed 2nd!!!! I was BURSTING with pride!!!! :) From right to left were 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place! :) I don't know if I'm cut out for these competitions. I left exhausted but immensely proud! :P

He won an Ipod Nano!!! :D Way to go you Math Stud!!!!!!
