On Saturday we decided to celebrate as a family and say "Good Bye Summer"! :)
We had breakfast at a place we saw on the Food Network Channel on a show called Diners, Drive-In's and Dives hosted by Guy Ferretti. He came to Arizona and ate a place called Matt's Big Breakfast. We thought it would be fun to give them a try!
Matt's is on on 1st and McKinley in Phoenix. Luckily it was a bit overcast because this place was tiny and the wait was about 30 min.

The food was pretty good. The waffles were great as was the local strawberry preserves! Yum! The portion sizes were huge too.
After breakfast we had to roll ourselves out the door, and we took the kids over to AZ Mills Mall to the new exhibit called Sea Life. They each had earned a free admission for reading books all summer through the Library Reading Program.
It was a pretty neat exhibit. We saw all sorts of fish, sharks, seahorses and starfish! It was like a very small scale Sea World! :P
They give the kids little cards and as they go through they find Quiz Trails and scratch off the answers to each. If they get them all correct they get to collect a special sticker proclaiming they are a Sea Life Expert! :P
In some of the tanks they had bubbles you could poke your head through to get up close and personal with the sea creatures. The kids LOVED them!
Did you know Jelly Fish are 90% water!?! Sooo cool! :P
