Double Digits!

On July 1st my little boy, who isn't quite so little anymore, turned 10!! The big one zero...a whole decade old!! I have no idea where the time has gone. It feels like I blinked and now he's turning into a young man.

Walker is an amazing guy. He's funny, smart, witty, kind, compassionate, and so much fun to be around. He just has something about him that draws people to him, like a magnet. He's the kind of guy you'd want as your best friend. He's always got your back. :)

Ok..I'll stop gushing and get on with the birthday celebrations. I'm not exactly sure how or when this happened but somehow the past year the kids' bdays have stretched from a one day shin-dig to a couple of weeks! LOL!

For the 1st of the festivities we went out as a family to Red Robin (Walker's favorite place to eat). It's always nice getting one on one time with the kids with out any friends and just chatting and have fun as a family. It's one of the rare occassions we get them all to ourselves. :)

On July 3rd, we had the extended family over for dinner at the house. All the Aunts, Uncles, Grandma, Grandpa and cousins. It's funny how we live so close, yet we seem to rarely get together unless it's someone's bday. It was good to have everyone over and visit for a while. Walker busted out his skills on the piano and I'm proud to say everyone was impressed with how well he can play! :D
On the menu for the evening homemade mac 'n cheese, and blue berry pie!! At the birthday boys request. It was a hit with everyone! :)

Look at that adorably cute smile. :)

On the 10th we took Walker and his best friends Chase and Jeremiah to see "Despicable Me". It was a really funny movie and the boys were quoting from it all the way home. :)

We came back to the house after and had coconut cream pie this time and ice cream. (Walker has decided he doesn't really like cake and that's why he chose pie this year. :P )The kids had a chance to play and run around for a couple of hours before it was time for the party to end. It was a lot of fun and we can't wait to do it all over in another year!

Happy Birthday Walker!
