Disney Give Away!!

>> Tuesday, May 25, 2010

My family and I are going to be visiting my "favorite" place on earth in a few weeks. And as luck has it we won't be using all of the days on our tickets. I've been trying to decide what to do with the extra 2 1-day park hopper tickets for the past few days.

#1 I could sell them. ($194.00 Value)
#2 I could use them myself before they expire.
#3 I could give them away to a total stranger outside the park gates.
#4 I could offer them to you lovely people for the small price of a short essay of why you LOVE Disneyland!!

#4 wins!

So... for those of you who are genuinely interested in winning these tickets please reply in the comments section on my blog. I will review each submission and choose a winner by Sunday May 30th, so get to writing FAST and be creative!! :)

Disclaimer: I will remove negative posts or comments that I feel are inappropriate. Park Hopper Tickets DO have an expiration date and are only good from June 10th-19th. If you are unable to use them by then, please don't submit an entry. Essay winner will be chosen by myself and I have the final judgement. :P

Good Luck!!! :)

You asked!!

We didn't make it to church on Mother's Day last Sunday because Alayna had gotten sick. It was a BIG surprise when the kids came running in after Relief Society this Sunday with a sweet little Mother's Day gift they put together. First of all cuz Mother's Day was a whole week ago and I wasn't even thinking about it anymore, and second I forgot about them probably making something in Primary even though I should know better since I'd served in Primary for almost 8 years...LOL!

Here is the beloved book! :)

Pretty darn cute huh? It's made from a regular brown paper lunch sack!

All of the children were asked the same questions about their Moms. Some of the answers were VERY funny!! :D

My top pick has to go to Alayna...read it for yourself! :)

I had no idea she knew my secret!! LOL!! Where does she come up with this stuff?!? Hahaha!!

I love to go to Disneyland with you too sweetie! :)

A ring would be lovely!!

Walker knows his me soooo well!! I'm a TOTAL choco-holic!! :D

I fared well on this one too...At least I didn't get 60 like my poor friend Lacey!! LOL!!

Thank you Eli for realizing how hard I work for the family. That means a lot! :)

This simple book has become a real treasure to me. I'm still laughing about Alayna's response, and by the boys' answers it's clear that they do still listen to and care about their Momma.

Thank you Walker, Eli and Alayna! I love you!

Final Game

Eli had his last T-ball game last Wednesday. The weather this season was absolutely perfect! It makes it so much more enjoyable when you aren't scraping yourself off of the camping chairs by the end of the game..lol!

Eli really did GREAT this season. He really seemed to "get it" this time around and he was,if I do say so myself, the best player on the team. His running speed was unmatched by his team mates and his throwing and catching blew me away! :D It was so much fun to watch this guy!

This was his last time to play T-Ball. He's moving up to coach pitch next year and we are all looking forward to what that new twist will bring.

Here he is at his last game. The coach put him in as pitcher, which would make his Uncle Boog proud! :)

Eli has the "Eye of the Tiger" when he plays...he's out to win! LOL!!

I LOVE this shot of him. I circled the ball that just barely missed his grasp..but you can see the determination on his face! :)

Did I mention how FAST this kid is??? It's really incredible how fast he can run. No one tagged him out all season!

After his last game the team got certificates and pins and had cupcakes. It was a great team we had this year. We had several friends from church in the ranks as well. The coaches were AMAZING, which after playing several different sports with both boys, we have found to be a rarity. T-ball was awesome this year!

Way to go get 'em Eli!! :D

Mommy Daughter Pedi's

>> Friday, May 7, 2010

To kick off Mother's Day weekend, Alayna and I decided we needed some Mommy Daughter time.

It's been a wonderful blessing being the Mom of 2 boys, but it's also been really great being the Mom of a little girl. And let me tell you, this girl is ALLLL girl! :) The more glitter, tiaras, ruffles, pink, beaded, sparkly, and poofy the better!! LOL!!!

So for our one on one time, we chose to get pedicures!! Alayna has never had one and I get one 'maybe' once a year. It was a fantastic treat for the both of us!

Sitting like such a big girl. She chose purple to match her outfit....of course! :P

Laney took this picture all by herself. I think for 3 years old she did pretty well! :)

Two girls painting the town together!

The finished product!

We had a great time chatting and giggling while we were pampered this afternoon. It was the perfect way to start out Mother's Day!

Thank you sweet girl! :D

Golden Scholar

Wednesday night was a special night for Walker. He earned his Golden Scholar Award at Academic Night. I couldn't be more proud of this little man! :D

To receive the Golden Scholar Award, you have to have earned all A's for the first 3 quarters as well as allowing only one B. We are proud to report Walker has earned his award with straight A's!!!

This is a BIG deal for all the kids who qualify. The boys and girls dress in their Sunday best and the program runs as if they were receiving a big time honor in college. It was so fun to watch them all beam with pride over their hard work!

The kids file in marching to "Pomp and Circumstance".

Walker proudly receiving his award from his Principal Mrs. Moore. His ALP teacher Mrs. Caperton read the names of the children.

Congratulations Walker!!! We are so proud not only of your academic achievements, but of the young man you are turning out to be! We love you more than you'll ever know!!
